1) Be careful about the source of your bank account information. If you don’t want to accept any fraudulent requests, you can change the email address or other personal information such as password or full name to avoid fraud. 2) Beware of unknown sites to check out. There are a lot of websites that promise to be helpful and have genuine contents, but they usually make things complicated for you. For instance, some may ask you to provide some kind of personal information like address, address etc. which is dangerous. In order to protect yourself from these malicious sites, use http://www.passy.com/ for example.
3) Watch out for suspicious sites. Just keep an eye on them and notice how much data they need and what kind of promises they have made, otherwise, it will give you a false sense of security.
4) Use only trusted sources of information. Don’t allow people who want to create this type of business to enter your information on their website and ask you questions.
5) Always take screenshots of all suspicious links to detect if your site seems to have been hacked.
6) Make sure not to copy-paste someone else’s content to your blog, otherwise, it will spread the wrong news and lead to more troubles than they wanted to.
7) Never open emails with attachments from untrusted sources. Do not click on a link if it seems to be coming from a fake site.
8) When in doubt, contact the police and make sure to tell them the location of your stolen goods. You must always remember that there are no guarantees that anything that was sold to you was legal and there is no excuse for giving up money to someone.
